Sarah Bird is a painter from Concord, MA. In 2023 Bird completed her MFA at Sierra Nevada University/University of Nevada in Reno, NV. Drawing on techniques from a background in realism, Bird weaves landscapes and still life together to create self-determined worlds. Layering and rearranging motifs from the history of Western oil painting, she uses an old language to depict her contemporary life and vividly depicts personal objects set against deep horizons. Her paintings have been included in many group exhibitions including Eleventh Street Arts, New York, NY, Arcadia Gallery, Los Angeles, CA and Jessie Edwards Gallery, Block Island, RI. The artist currently divides her time between Idaho and Oregon.
