Kathryn Polk is originally from Tennessee, lived in Tucson, AZ for many years and currently lives in Indiana. Her imagery is based on women navigating their lives through work, relationships, and day to day survival. Polk’s intricate lithographs depict metaphorical visual memories and thought through the eyes of her female ancestors. Her work is held in many national and international collections including The National Academy of Fine Art (China), University of Wales (UK), and The Denver Art Museum (CO). Polk studied at the Memphis Art Academy and The University of Memphis. She is also the co-owner of L VIS Press, a lithography print studio.
